Takahashi recently accepted the Award for Excellence for Xenoblade 3 at TGS, as part of the 2023 Japan Game Awards. Due to Takahashi’s diminishing number of public appearances and statements leading up to Xenoblade 3 and after its release, I feel there has been a great deal of interest in what Takahashi has to say when he does make a public appearance. Simultaneous interpretation was provided for this recent TGS event, and while I have no ill will towards the interpreter and thought they did a fine job, written translations will always be more accurate. His acceptance speech touches on some things he spoke about recently in the Xenoblade 3 OST booklet and brings some clarity to his current thought process.
